Children / asterias series

The series ASTERIAS is a product of the EU program SOCRATES and YOUTH "LINGUA". The series Asterias was produced with the financial support of the European Union Program SOCRATES and YOUTH "LINGUA" and the Publishing House NEOHEL. One of the primary goals of the LINGUA program is to finance projects, aiming to create teaching material of the highest level both in terms of product quality and scientific merit.
The series Asterias is a product that fulfills the LINGUA program's goals.

Asterias is an educational material, which is the result of an effort to fill the gap existing in the study of Greek for children 6-13/14.
The method's first priority is the child's aural familiarization and communication in the Greek language, aiming at improved comprehension and correct expression. This is achieved in parallel with instruction and training in writing, reading, grammar and phonetics, as well as elements of Greek culture, history and art.
Asterias is friendly to the user, imaginative and effective and at the same time attractive for both teachers and children. This is achieved by the following means:

• Illustrations: rich, humoristic and full of imagination.
• Music CD's with 60 songs: especially conceived for the needs of the series
  
• CD's with the text: al the text appearing in the pupils' book
• Exercise book: helps the child to assimilate every new language, grammatical and syntactical phenomenon.
• Vocabulary with activities & stickers, translated in many languages(4 levels)
• Teachers book (4 levels)
